Just took a few shots using the Leica D-Lux 4. Maddening is the lens cap being attached by that string. It gets in the way of the camera at times. It's also a bit slippery to put back on the camera. I think it would be best to just hold the lens cap.

Just taking a few pictures using the Leica M8.2. Nothing fancy.

Leica M8.2: Second Choice Photo

This was my 2nd choice in my photo of the day. I like Ozzy in the photo, but hate the pink rug. Whoever owned this house before had bad taste in rug colors. yuck!

On another note, I just bought a Mr. Zhou case for the Leica M8.2 camera. I figured it would protect the body from wear and tear. It fits rather snugly, but is quite nice. Not bad for a little over 60 bucks!

Old Review of Leica M8.2 by Kirk Tuck

I know this article is old, but I happened upon it today, and thought I'd share it. Kirk Tuck writes exactly what I'm feeling about in regards to the Leica M8.2 VS the Nikon camera system. The article itself is the red link. Good stuff, even if it's dated. Kirk's Blog can be seen here.

Meanwhile, today's 365 project picture of my dog Ozzy was taken with the Leica M8.2 camera.

Leica D-Lux 4: Garage Band

I took a few photos of Alex playing guitar and Devin playing bass. They were in the garage, and there's a lot of crap in the background. Sometimes you just have to take the picture regardless. I just wanted a few photos of them in the moment. Unfortunately, that moment had lots of debris in the background. LOL! I could have blurred the background, but I figured it wouldn't look natural. I used a Leica D-Lux 4 in standard color mode. I used flash in one shot of Devin playing bass.

Leica D-Lux 4: Standard & Dynamic Color Photos

I went to someone's graduation party and took a few shots with the Leica D-Lux 4 camera. I decided to try taking a few photos in color this time.

Standard Color Mode

This is Dynamic Color Mode

I switched to using Dynamic then Standard color mode. I shot using the fine JPEG setting.

Getting used to the Leica D-Lux 4 Metering

I had a lot more pictures to show, but I put them on Flickr. Go see them after you check out this post. Just click on the link I have below.

I'm getting used to the metering on this camera. I am also becoming aware of what ISO I'm using, so I can capture sharp photos. You can see the rest of the set here on Flickr. (I had too many pictures to show them all here.)
