Square Format with the Leica D-Lux 4

Ozzy is a Square!

I finally figured out how to use the square format. Being that it's a software update, it's within the menu system. I took a few pictures of Ozzy using the square format and in black and white. I love the different features of this camera.

  2. Xavionsmum: Did you know Leica came out with a new Leica D-Lux 5? It's supposed to be an improvement on the D-Lux 4 with a bit more zoom and higher ISO ratings. Not sure if that matters to you, as the D-Lux 4 is a wonderful camera. Plus, I saw some preliminary ISO ratings, and it wasn't that much better.

I would suggest not using the string to tether the lens cap to the camera. It's much easier just holding or pocketing the lens. The string gets in the way when taking pictures. A very good book that explains this camera thoroughly is:

"Photographer's Guide to the Leica D-Lux 4" by Alexander S. White.

I hope this helps. Thanks for the nice compliments on Ozzy. He's a wonderful soul.
